Austin Kung Fu & T'ai Chi celebrates its 20th Year in Austin with a HUGE all-day tournament and evening Demonstration!
Registration Will Be Back Up Online After February 13th
The tournament runs all day at Murchison Middle School on Far West Boulevard in Austin. Registration begins at 9 am, pre-register online (available now). PreK and Kids age 6-12 will start the event with competition in open hand forms, weapons and sparring. Teens, then adults of all ages will compete for trophies in open hand, weapon and sparring events. Registration is going on now online or at the schools. Spectator tickets are available at the door for $5 for ages 9 and up.
10th degree Grandmaster Sin Kwang The' will be in attendance. It is a day of celebration following a week of rank-advancement testing, and another year of training and growth. First time competitors will face fears and brave the unknown and come away with a medal or trophy true, but more importantly, with a confidence and bravery that will stay with them for life in EVERYTHING they do! Seasoned competitors will meet friends in the ring and test their skills further, solidify their bravery and internal strength even more. The air is charged with excitement that you won't want to miss!
The evening demonstration, begins at 7pm and is the culmination of this celebration. A unique chance to view material and weapons from beginner levels to highly advanced master levels. The Grandmaster will perform, as well as Master Joe. The performances in this event are put to exciting music to enhance your enjoyment. And the best part of the entire day, is the enormous community that surrounds the event in the friendships of the students, teachers and supporters.
